Day Trips & Excursions from Seoul

Several day or overnight trips can be taken from Seoul. One of the most interesting is a trip to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) which separates North and South Korea. Most of these tours visit the Dora Station, where trains run between the two countries, the Observatory, where you can view North Korea, and a ride into the 3rd Tunnel, which North Korea dug under the DMZ in efforts to enter South Korea secretly. Some tours also visit the Joint Security Area. Tours are also offered to Busan, the largest port city in South Korea. From Seoul you can also take an overnight or several day excursion to the Island of Jeju. Jeju is about a one hour flight from Seoul and a popular vacation and honeymoon destination for Koreans.
