Activities Water activities are particularly popular in French Polynesia, including snorkeling, S.C.U.B.A diving, shark and sting ray feeding, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, outrigger canoeing and parasailing. For those who enjoy the water and are looking for something little more low key, sunset cruises are a peaceful and romantic option. Adventures on land (and air) include horseback riding, 4WD tours, hang gliding and helicopter tours. For something touristy yet fun, check out one of the Tiki Villages. They depict the history of the islands and "old" way of life for inhabitants. Guests enjoy a traditional Polynesian buffet dinner complete with music and dance show.
