Vienna, Austria

Vienna is not a city that astounds you with its towering historical structures or its glitz and bright lights. Rather, it's a city that creeps up on you and seeps in without your realizing how much you are become a part of it. This is not to say that it doesn't have notable attractions (the Vienna Opera House for example is quite famous worldwide) or modern appeal (it's shopping street is full of unique, trendy and often upscale shops), but the draw of Vienna isn't any of these in particular - it's the total package, the feeling that you have suddenly become part of this living, working city in a way that you didn't expect. A city of music, beer gardens, art, cathedrals, cafes, shopping and palaces, there's never a lock of something to do.
