Slovenia is boarded by Italy, Croatia, Hungary and Austria. The best way to travel around Slovenia is generally by car (self drive or private driver, depending on your preference and budget). The roads are modern, easy to navigate and the views of the mountains and lakes on either side of the road make for a peaceful and scenic drive. Currency: Euro (switched from Slovenian Tolar in January 2007. The country was allowing a change over period where both Tolars and Euros would be accepted).
