Buenos Aires is a fantastic jumping off point for visiting the rest of the country. Fly approximately 2 hours north of Buenos Aires and you reach Iguaçu Falls - a magnificent waterfall display considered by many to be more stunning than Niagara Falls. Several hours from to the west of Buenos Aires is Mendoza, Argentina's wine region most famous for their Malbec's. Mendoza itself is a charming city with parks, shops and outdoor cafes. Add this to miles of vinyards with the Andes as a backdrop, and Mendoza quickly becomes a city not to be missed.
