Photo of the Day – Thailand’s Floating Market

Even if you have never been to Thailand, you may recognize this market from a chase scene in an old James Bond movie. In real life, the Damneon Saduak floating market does indeed have a lot of commotion, though it’s not particularly James Bond material. Instead, it’s visitors and merchants haggling over prices and canoes filled with food attempting navigating the waters. As you float along the river to get there, be prepared to see a high level of poverty, though the people are incredibly friendly and eagerly wave to tourists.
