  1. A country really trying to promote tourism that many people may not think about is Namibia. It has a lot to offer travelers who want something “far from the maddening crowd” but that is not dangerous.

      We’re on the same wavelength! I featured Namibia in my most recent issue of TraveLuxe. It has up to 360 days of sunshine and has some of the best watering holes for game viewing in all of Africa!

  3. How about Iceland? It’s so inexpensive for U.S.- and UK-based travelers nowadays.

      Great suggestion! I wasn’t sure if it was too “popular” to profile, though I do have a few clients who have recently come back or are interested in going, so it’s very fresh in my mind!
