ASTA's Green Agents
As part of the strong developing focus on sustainable tourism, the American Society of Travel Agents has instituted the ASTA Green Program. The program was created to increase education for travel professionals on this sector of the industry. Key objectives include understanding the impact of travel on the environment and the importance of keeping their companies environmentally friendly. In addition to the helpful guidelines for travel professionals, the program will allow ecologically conscious travelers to identify "Green Agents" who strive for sustainability when planning their clients' trips.
